Unlike video-based platforms, Easy Peasy guided lesson plans for each subject in every grade level for an entire year's worth of learning. Students learn through a variety of online resources including videos, readings, articles, and extension activities. One benefit of this type of curriculum is that it may be more hands-on or interactive in nature than video platforms and parents can adapt, enrich, or regress the curriculum in any way they like. It is important to note that this curriculum will require more parental guidance and students will need to have access to external online media sites, so there is risk of exposure to unregulated content.

Monarch is the online, subscription-based curriculum offered by Alpha Omega Publications, a leader in Christian homeschooling and education. It is important to note that content is not delivered through video instruction like many programs. From first glance, it is apparent that BJU Press offers a very comprehensive curriculum. Their Distance Learning Online (DLO) program has combined video instruction with textbooks and workbooks, so your child will get a well-rounded experience. The videos are on the (MUCH) older side, but their "live"-style instruction includes readings, songs, and video animations, making it fun and engaging. The teachers incorporate higher-level, critical thinking skills into their lessons by asking open-ended questions throughout. Their program is significantly higher than other online programs, but considering it offers textbooks, the cost still quite reasonable as they offer monthly payments.
