The resources on this list are either exclusive or highly intentional about, serving the homeschool community. Several homeschooling networks and resource centers exist to help you connect to the homeschooling community.

Netwoks & Resourses

HYBRID / NON-TRADITIONAL PRIVATE SCHOOLS

Hybrid schools offer a blended approach to learning where students spend some days learning in a brick-and-mortar school and the remaining days learning from home. Each school develops its own schedule, structure, philosophy, curriculum, homework policies, and course offerings. Most charge an annual tuition and enrollment fee and many will offer an accredited transcript.

Acworth, Calhoun, Cumming, Rutledge

TandemEDU is a once a week homeschool hybrid program for grades 8-12. Students can graduate with a high school diploma and as many as 46 college credits. TandemEDU offers accountability and help teaching the tough high school subjects while providing teen fellowship with like-minded families.

CLASSES: ACADEMIC & ENRICHMENT

There are a wide variety of learning centers offering courses, classes, workshops, and enrichment opportunities for homeschooling students. Offerings can range from a single art or cooking class to full-length calculus courses or even daily learning pods. Some centers offer drop-off services, while others require parents to stay on-site.

ORGANIZED CO-OPS & HOMESCHOOL GROUPS

This section features organized homeschool groups and co-ops that have published/established meeting places, regular activities, and offer academic, enrichment, and social activities for homeschool students. Some of these are professionally run organizations while others are parent/volunteer-run organizations.

ARTS & MUSIC

There are a growing number of independent teachers, instructors, or tutors offering private, semi-private, group, or co-op instruction to the homeschool community. Always perform due diligence and ask for reference before meeting privately.

Theater, performing arts, musical productions. "Our desire is that our students not only develop a love for the arts through our classes and drama clubs but that they also develop their confidence, imagination and leadership skills."

Neuropsychological evaluations offer insight into a child’s functioning in areas such as attention, processing, reasoning, language, memory, executive function, etc. These type of evaluations are conducted by licensed psychologists.
