Tracy Brininstool

Director of Learning

Tracy is a certified K-8 teacher in the state of Georgia with a M.A.Ed. in Reading. She has taught in the upper elementary grades in Tennessee and here in the Atlanta area since 2006 working with learners who struggle and with those who need enrichment.  For the past 10 1/2 years, Tracy has worked as a private tutor for students ranging from K-8, while also blessing homeschool families with an exceptional, multi-age homeschool learning pod program! Tracy truly enjoys the ability of working one-on-one with students and tailoring her teaching style to their specific learning style. Tracy's tutoring services include assistance with reading, math, and developing organizational and study skills. Her passion is working with any student who finds reading a struggle. She is a strong believer that reading is the most fundamental skill we possess, so determining where a student's reading struggle is and working towards helping them overcome that struggle is her passion. She has extensive training in multi-sensory instruction through the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education and through the Orton-Gillingham Academy. Currently, she is working on pursuing a Master's in Mental Health Counseling. A quote that is core to her philosophical approach to teaching, children, and living life is “If children feel safe, they can take risks, ask questions, make mistakes, learn to trust, share their feelings, and grow.” ~ Alfie Kohn.  Tracy provides a safe place for students to land, learn, and grow.
