Join us in the medieval courts and get ready for a week filled with royal wonder as we learn about dragons, castles, knights, royalty, and more! GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Adventures in Reading is a fun and engaging literacy camp that fosters a love for literature while strengthening essential skills in reading and writing. The days are lively and engaging, with multi-sensory activities that provide an atmosphere of fun and learning. This camp offers a daily routine that includes phonics instruction, fluency and comprehension activities, writing opportunities, and cross-curricular literature extensions such as art, STEM activities, weekly clay projects, Reader’s Theater, etc. that capture interest and strengthen a love for reading and literature! Students will be divided into small groups and lessons will be tailored to the age and ability level of each group. Our teachers are highly experienced, hold degrees/certifications in education, and are trained in the Orton Gillingham approach.
