Admissions Process

We offer a free shadow day to students interested in our program upon the completion of a tour.
STEP 1: Family Introduction (Call, Tour, Open House)

All families must attend an in-person family introduction with the director. This introduction offers families the opportunity to see the facility and ask questions about the program. Likewise, it allows us to help evaluate whether we can sufficiently meet your family's needs, goals, and expectations.

STEP 2: Application

Applications open in October for the coming school year. Applicants now have the opportunity to submit their applications before their Family Introduction. This allows proactive individuals to get a head start on the process and ensures that their application is among the first to be reviewed.

STEP 3: Review

Applications are reviewed in the order they are received, but placement is dependent on numerous factors including space available, the student's learning needs, and balanced class composition. If your child has an IEP or identified learning challenges, we will invite them for an assessment to determine whether we can support their specific needs.

STEP 4: Admissions Decision

After all steps of the process are complete, our team will make a final admissions decision. Early applicants will receive their decision by March 1. Applicants completing the process after March 1 can expect a decision within 2 weeks. Families will have 1 week to accept or decline their offer.

TUITION & FEES

Commitment to Excellence

Our tuition is reflective of our commitment to excellence. Our low 1:6 ratio, high teacher qualifications, and position in a space-stable environment all contribute to our commitment to provide the most enriching and individualized experience possible for your child. We value our families and do not take lightly the financial commitment you are making to support your child and value the trust you have placed in our program.

One-Time New Student Assessment Fee

There is a one-time assessment fee of $125 for all new students entering our program. This fee covers the cost of your child's assessment to determine placement in reading and math cohorts and to ensure we purchase the correct curriculum for your child's learning needs. Placement assessments are generally scheduled between March and May or over the summer for the following school year.

Annual Enrollment Fee

The enrollment fee is due within 7 days of your acceptance into the program. There is a $100 discount for families who secure their space by April 1 for the coming year and a $25 registration fee discount for Friday only families. This fee is non-refundable as it secures your child's space in the program and prevents others from registering.

Curriculum & Supply Fee

The Curriculum and Supply Fee covers required instructional materials, including textbooks, workbooks, digital resources, and hands-on supplies. This ensures students have everything they need for a complete, well-supported learning experience throughout the year. This fee is 75% refundable through July 31st and non-refundable thereafter. A small personal supply list will be requested but not required.

FINANCIAL POLICIES

Policies & Discounts

Annual Tuition Policy:

Our program is fully reliant on annual tuition commitments. As per the policy in most private schools and hybrid programs in our area, enrollment is a full-year commitment designed to ensure continuity and consistency in our program for all faculty and students. Annual tuition contracts secure teacher positions and the resources necessary to provide high-quality instruction. Families are responsible for the full annual tuition regardless of withdrawal or school transfer. Loss of employment or moving out of range may be permitted on a case-by-case basis with a 60-day notice. By enrolling, families agree to uphold their financial commitment and support their student’s active participation in our program throughout the academic year.

Available Discounts
  • The tuition above reflects a cash/check/ACH discount of 3.5%.
  • 10% sibling discount for 2nd and subsequent children in an immediate family enrolled at Weatherstone Academy or EdVentures.
  • 5% discount for payment in full by July 1
  • 2.5% discount for bi-annual payments, payable July 1 and January 1

Program Adjustments, Withdrawals, and Dismissal Policies

  1. Families may withdraw or change programming options for the coming school year without penalty, less the non-refundable enrollment fee, until the first tuition installment is due (July 1).
  2. Withdrawals made between July 1 and the first day of classes will incur a penalty charge equal to 20% of the total tuition, as the reserved spot may have prevented another student from enrolling in the program and the commitment was considered in the program’s budgeting and staffing decisions.
  3. Families are responsible for the full annual tuition once classes begin, regardless of withdrawal, unless pre-arranged with the program director for extenuating circumstances (i.e. a known relocation).
  4. Dismissals from the program will be released from their contract, with tuition will being prorated to days used PLUS a 20% fee of the remaining annual tuition to cover expenses and lost tuition associated with the release.

Late Fees
Monthly tuition installments and fee payments are due on the 1st of each month. The school will assess a late charge of $35 on any balances not paid by the 10th of each month. If the 10th of the month falls on a weekend or holiday, tuition and fee payments will be due the following business day.

Non-Payment
Financial accounts must be current for students to attend our program. We reserve the right to discontinue enrollment for nonpayment. Should you face unexpected financial hardship, please reach out as soon as possible to discuss possible solutions. Outstanding balances may be sent to collections if unresolved.

Family & Student Code of Conduct
We are committed to maintaining a respectful, safe, and supportive learning environment for all students and families. We reserve the right to discontinue enrollment if a parent or student fails to comply with program policies or engages in conduct that disrupts this environment. In the event of dismissal, the family will be released from the contract, and tuition will be prorated for days attended, plus a 20% penalty of the total annual tuition to cover administrative costs and lost enrollment.

Emergency Closure Policy

We follow the lead of Cobb, Fulton, and/or Cherokee when it comes to weather-related or emergency closures. Annual tuition includes up to three "emergency closures" (e.g., inclement weather, power outages, widespread illness) per 2-Day Hybrid, or 2 closures for single-day programs with no make-ups; the program will send home a fun Closure Day Curriculum sheet for students to complete if desired. If closures exceed these parameters, the program will provide a synchronous virtual day and/or a remote work day.
