Participants are welcome to join us for a full day, from 9:00 - 4:00, by choosing both a morning and afternoon camp option. We are Inspirational...like George Washington Carver (Agriculture, Planting, Bugs, & Birds) In this nature-filled camp, students will plant their own vegetable garden and design, learn about butterfly and bee attracting plants, and CREATE all the components needed to transform their yard into a certified wildlife habitat through the National Wildlife Foundation such as a bird feeder, animal shelter, and more! GENERAL DESCRIPTION: We are taking things Full STEAM Ahead in this fun and engaging "STEAM" centered camp. From chemistry to construction...students will have a blast learning about an array of INCREDIBLE scientists, artists, and amazing people who exemplify Big "I"-deas (aka character traits) that begin with the letter "I" - like inventive, imaginative, inquisitive, and more! Through labs, games, activities, STEM challenges, student inventions, art projects, outdoor exploration, and more...students will learn how THEY can be INCREDIBLE too! Students will enjoy a balanced morning of activities that include guided lessons, hands-on projects, and invitations to explore . They will also enjoy a mid-morning snack and recess break in our outdoor green space! SAMPLE DAILY FOCUS: DAY 1: What's the Big "I"-dea? DAY 2: Spectacular Science DAY 3: Immerse in Art DAY 4: Sculpt It! (taught by a professional artist who will kiln-fire our pieces!) DAY 5: Inventor's Challenge *this is a sample schedule and may vary slightly SUPPLIES BROUGHT FROM HOME: -Snack -Water bottle -Clothes that can get messy!
