LEAP Academics and Arts offers students in 3rd grade through high school an intimate, yet dynamic, learning experience designed for curious, engaged, and motivated learners. This learning community provides robust instruction in core subjects—including English Language Arts, science, social studies, and mathematics—while integrating creative enrichment and the arts to nurture deep thinking, creativity, and inquiry. Across all subjects, hands-on projects and integrated arts activities bring learning to life, helping students make meaningful connections and express their understanding in imaginative and tangible ways. LEAP also emphasizes the development of executive skills such as organization, planning, time management, and strategic thinking, enabling students to approach tasks independently and thoughtfully. Students are challenged to read deeply, analyze critically, plan strategically, create intentionally, and write purposefully as they explore complex topics across disciplines.
Our high school program equips students with the credits, skills, and knowledge needed for graduation and competitive college admission. An accredited transcript and diploma option is available to those who desire it. SB10 funds may be available to qualifying 5-Day students.

This program offers 2 days of home study projects and assignments and is best suited to highly independent learners or those with ample parental support.

Our Friday Arts Collab is a lively day filled with creativity, connection, and hands-on fun! Students rotate through a variety of classes—art, creative writing, problem-solving, personal health and fitness, and Spanish—making Fridays a favorite day of the week for learning and engagement.

COURSES & CURRICULUM
Math
We offer leveled math across all programs. Students will be placed in the math group that best suits their working level to ensure solid understanding sequential math concepts. A typical math class includes fluency activities and games, review and reinforcement of past concepts, new concept introduction through hands-on methods and manipulatives, followed by time to practice concepts in their work text. Students in the online format also receive guided, hands-on work with a teacher and focused support as they work through the workbook component.
CURRICULUM: Math With Confidence (3rd - 5th) and Denison Algebra (6th+).
Literature & Critical Reading
In this class, students dive deep into stories, novels, poetry, and informative text selections to uncover how language, structure, and perspective shape meaning. They learn to read with curiosity and discernment—asking questions, finding patterns, and discovering connections between texts and real life. Discussions and projects help students strengthen comprehension, analysis, and expressive writing skills, building both confidence and insight as readers and thinkers.

Writing & Composition
The composition component of ELA helps students refine their writing skills through focused practice with major paragraph types—narrative, descriptive, expository, and persuasive. Students learn to organize their thoughts clearly, support ideas with evidence, and revise for clarity and style. Writing is meaningfully integrated across subjects, allowing students to apply composition skills to history, science, and literature. The result is stronger, more confident writers who can communicate effectively in any setting.
CURRICULUM: Writing and composition units are tied to critical reading units and/or science and social studies themes for a connected and meaningful experience.
Structured Literacy
Our Structured Literacy class builds strong readers and writers through systematic instruction in grammar, spelling, and morphology. Students learn how language works—from sound-symbol relationships and spelling patterns to word roots, prefixes, and suffixes that unlock meaning. Students work at their own pace though workbooks that develop vocabulary, and writing, helping students develop fluency, accuracy, and confidence. This program is self-paced to ensure each students is challenged appropriately.

Social Sciences & History
Our Social Studies curriculum takes students on an engaging journey through geography, history, cultures, and perspectives. Each year explores a new theme—such as ancient civilizations, global connections, government and society, or modern world issues—building a broad and connected understanding of how people and places shape our world. Students learn to think critically, compare perspectives, and make meaningful connections across time and cultures. At the high school level, courses are designed to meet academic standards and earn full credit toward a college-ready high school transcript.

Science
Our Science curriculum guides students through the exploration of physical, life, and earth sciences, fostering curiosity and critical thinking. Each year focuses on a new theme—such as ecosystems, environment, chemistry in action, physics, anatomy & physiology, etc.—helping students build a connected understanding of scientific concepts and their real-world applications. Hands-on experiments, inquiry-based projects, and problem-solving activities encourage students to observe, question, and analyze like true scientists. At the high school level, courses meet academic standards and earn full credit toward a college-ready high school transcript.

HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPTS
LEAP offers students in 8th grade and above a rigorous and comprehensive curriculum that includes all core courses and electives required to attain a USG-ready accredited and/or homeschool transcript. Students receive dynamic instruction in the core subjects of English, Math, Science, and Social Studies, alongside required elective credits, while engaging in deep-inquiry learning that fosters critical thinking and creativity. While all required electives are provided through their experience with us. students are also welcome to take interest-baed elective courses through independent study, online on our campus, at other venues, or though Dual Enrollment. This approach ensures students are fully prepared for college, university, and/or future careers, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed for academic and personal success.

Lit/Comp is offered for 4 years, with each year offering differing themes, perspectives, and concepts.
II. Math

We use Denison Algebra for Pre-Algebra and above. This program is student-friendly and builds strong mathematical foundations with the benefit of both video-based instruction, teacher guided learning, and workbook practice.
III. Science

We offer a rotation of science courses that meet Georgia's Required High School Curriculum for a college-ready transcript, including Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Anatomy & Physiology, etc.
IV. Social Studies
**Georgia Studies / Local Studies (25/26)
We offer a rotation of social sciences courses that meet Georgia's Required High School Curriculum for a college-ready transcript, including Local Studies, US History, World History, World Cultures, and Geography.
V/VI. Additional Courses / Electives
Section V and VI of the GA Futures graduation outline requires a selection of 'additional' courses including personal health and fitness, languages, fine arts, and CTAE. Most of these offerings will be available on Fridays or through independent study.
Friday Enrichment - Credits
High school students may earn transcript-worthy elective credits in our Friday Enrichment program by completing the “for credit” assignments offered in each class. Available credits include Art, Spanish, Advanced Composition, and Health and Personal Fitness.

The emphasis on core instruction days is introduction and instruction of new concepts. Practice and reinforcement of concepts is completed as independent home study with a parent OR under the guidance of a teacher on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Our Monday program follows the same schedule and structure as Tuesdays and Thursdays, but with added focus on review, reinforcement, and completing independent assignments. Mondays are highly encouraged for all students, but especially those who struggle with planning and execution of independent assignments.
Productivity Day - Wednesdays
Half Day, 8:45 - 12:00
Wednesdays are a favorite for many students, offering a satisfying sense of accomplishment as they complete assignments and make progress on projects at their own pace. Students also enjoy one-on-one check-ins with the teacher who is able to help assist, review, or reinforce concepts in a more relaxed manner.
