DRESS CODE
Dress to Engage in Learning, Play, and Art!
We offer a hands-on, art-filled, outdoor-forward environment. While we do not have a formal dress code, we do require that students dress in a school-functional manner that lets them run freely, paint expressively, and move as needed while maintaining appropriate coverage of the body (backsides, midriffs, etc.).
SHOES: Closed-toed shoes are recommended, though sandals or Crocs are okay if the child can run safely. Slides are not permitted.
Seasonal Weather
We believe that children thrive when offered ample outdoor experiences. We encourage students to go outside daily, therefore it is important for families to check the weather daily to ensure they send clothing appropriate for both the highs and lows of the day. During more extreme highs or lows, we DO offer the opportunity to go outside should the students want to go out for an energy release, but we also modify accordingly for safety (reducing duration outdoors or allowing an indoor/outdoor option). It is important to know that we DO NOT "police" clothing. Therefore, we will assume your child is dressed for the outdoors as they come to us.
CLOSURES & BREAKS
Emergency Closures
We follow the lead of Cobb, Fulton, and/or Cherokee when it comes to weather-related or emergency closures. Annual tuition includes up to three "emergency closures" (e.g., inclement weather, power outages, widespread illness) per 2-Day Hybrid, or 2 closures for single-day programs with no make-ups; the program will send home a fun Closure Day Curriculum sheet for students to complete if desired. If closures exceed these parameters, the program will provide a synchronous virtual day and/or a remote work day.
