Essential Skills & Standards

Our hybrid programs include engaging and fun instruction in the "core skills" of math, reading, and language arts in the morning, paired with hands-on science, social studies, STEM, art, and world cultures in the afternoons. Each day offers an array of teacher directed and student-led activities, along with ample time for  socialization and building friendships in our beautiful green space.

Critical Thinking & Creativity

We offer an abundance of opportunities to develop creativity and critical thinking, skills. From analyzing literature or writing creative stories, to participating in STEAM activities, or building a fort in our "forest," our students learn to model, create, construct, read, write with purpose, become an entrepreneur, and so much more!

Reading Instruction

We specialize in reading!
Our Orton Gillingham based approach provides explicit, sequential, multi-sensory instruction to help students learn to read, spell, and write effectively! OG reading instruction is included in all of our hybrid programming K - 4th grade. We also offer small group literacy intensives and private tutoring options for those who need continued support.

Overview

EdVentures offers *full-time private education and part-time hybrid programming in a relaxed, engaging, and supportive environment that promotes learning through a developmental, whole-child approach. Our evidence-based, multisensory curriculum ensures we meet academic goals while fostering genuine understanding. Prioritizing quality over quantity, we emphasize meaningful assignments over repetitive busywork. Our culture promotes kindness, respect, cooperation, community, character, socialization, and friendship-building. Every program, regardless of age, includes extended morning and afternoon breaks for students to decompress, enjoy a snack, and socialize with friends!

Flexible attendance options range from one to five days, with daily after care enrichment, presenting families with a scalable model that meet both their child's learning goals and family budget. Our program offers dynamic instruction in the core subjects of ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies, alongside enrichment or remediation options for an individualized learning experience.

Our multi-grade programming is designed to meet each student at their personal challenge level, offering customized support and/or advancement depending on the child's needs. Students working within the academic scope of their multi-grade cohort are placed in reading and math groups that align with their abilities. For those who fall outside the cohort's academic range, placement in our Academic Bridge Program is available to provide the targeted support needed to ensure growth and success.

Our students are happy, kind, engaged, and filled with curiosity. Our expectation is that students come to class ready and willing to learn. We accept neurotypical and gifted students, along with students presenting with specific learning challenges such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, anxiety, or mild processing disorders. We are not equipped to handle students with behavioral challenges or disruptive tendencies.

*EdVentures qualifies as a Georgia Learning Pod. All students enrolled must register as homeschoolers through the Georgia Department of Education's website.

Our Community

Student Body

We serve engaged and enthusiastic learners. We accept neurotypical students and students with specific learning challenges such as dyscalculia, dyslexia, and dysgraphia. Our expectation is that students are willing and active participants who are excited to learn. Students are expected to come to class prepared and ready to do their best. Our small environment makes a great choice for students with mild to moderate anxiety.  We are not equipped to enroll students with disruptive, aggressive, and/or non-compliant tendencies.

Teachers

Our teachers are loving, creative, and nurturing professionals who are highly qualified and experienced. Each teacher possesses a minimum of a bachelor's in education, with most possessing a masters degree, GA certification, and multiple specialties. All primary teachers are trained in the OG approach.

Learning Climate

We offer a warm and nurturing learning environment with a teacher to student ratio of 1:6 for primary students and up to 8 or upper elementary. Our students enjoy a small, calm, compassionate, stress-reduced learning environment with a community of peers who respect and encourage each other. We understand that a supportive, community-oriented environment better serves overall academic development and mental health than a traditional setting for many students.

Instructional Approach

Our instructional approach is hands-on, multisensory, and interactive, allowing students to truly engage in their own learning. We offer a 'quality over quantity' approach and believe children learn best when they are having fun!

Curriculum

Our curriculum is curated to meet the specific needs of our hybrid model. Our goal is to ensure students learn key standards and concepts in the core subjects, without overwhelming or overburdening students with copious amounts of seat work or home study. To that end, we have put together a mix of teacher-created materials, hands-on instructional approaches, trade curriculum, workbooks, literature, and texts to create the most efficient, yet effective programming for our students.

Home Study

Students in the 2-day Essentials Hybrid program will receive approximately 60 - 90 minutes of home study two timers per week, while students in our comprehensive programs will complete the 'home study' component in class on their alternate days. The goal of our home study curriculum is to review, reinforce, and solidify key classroom concepts. This approach allows plenty of time for families to pursue personal interests, join social groups, go on field trips, attend enrichment classes, and more!

Educational Model Descriptions

Full Time Program (4 & 5 Days)

4 Day Academic Program:

Our 4-day academic program offers a balanced and flexible approach to learning, combining two "Connectivity Days" with two "Productivity Days." On Connectivity Days, students engage in direct instruction across core subjects (ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies) alongside their hybrid peers, participating in collaborative, hands-on activities and exploring new concepts in an interactive group setting. While hybrid students work on assignments independently at home, students enrolled in the 4-day program benefit from additional instruction, skill reinforcement, guided independent work periods, and personalized teacher support. This dynamic structure allows students to apply their learning, complete home study assignments, and receive targeted remediation or enrichment, fostering academic growth, accountability, and confidence. Students in our 4-day program also enjoy exciting enrichment blocks in the afternoons!

5 Day Comprehensive:

4 Day Academic Program + Friday Learning Lab

Five days in all, this program combines the 4-Day Academic Program with our dynamic Friday Learning Lab. This program is exceptional for eager learners or for families desiring a full-scope program.

Hybrid Education (2 & 3 Days)

2 Day Hybrid

Our signature 2-Day Hybrid Program offers a flexible model designed for homeschooling families, while also serving as the foundation for our 3-, 4-, and 5-day program options. This dynamic program features two days of engaging, standards-aligned classroom instruction in core subjects (ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies), enriched by collaborative, hands-on activities, and interactive group learning. These "Connectivity Days" provide a vibrant social environment, fostering meaningful connections and a strong sense of community among students and families alike. Hybrid students spend their alternating "Productivity Days" working on ability-appropriate home study, reinforcing and extending their learning with thoughtfully designed assignments, leaving ample time to explore personal interests or spend time with family.

*We believe in a 'quality over quantity' approach to learning. Home study assignments target essential skills and reinforce concepts in an efficient manner, leaving ample time to enjoy your asynchronous days as you please. Younger students can expect about 60 - 90 minutes per day, while upper elementary students receive approximately 90 minutes to 2.5 hours.
