Weatherstone Ascent provides a flexible, supportive pathway for older teens and young adults with diverse learning profiles to complete high school requirements and/or earn college credit while building academic confidence and skills. Students progress through fully individualized, self-paced coursework while enjoying the academic support, course guidance, and social element that our in-person program has to offer.
This program is designed for learners balancing learning and life, individuals needing academic support, or for those needing accountability in developing their academic plan and completing coursework. Executive functioning and academic skills coaching is built into each session to develop organization, planning, time-management, note-taking, and study skills, supporting growing independence and long-term success in learning and life.
For students who need to shake off the dust, our Rapid Reset option strengthens foundational math, critical reading, writing, note-taking, and study skills to ensure a successful start.

Rapid Reset
Academic Skills Refresher Course
6-Weeks, 2 - 3 Evenings Per Week
Rapid Reset is a 6-week, skills-focused class designed to help students regain momentum and confidence. Students select writing, reading, and/or math, each paired with explicit instruction in academic success skills such as note-taking, studying, organization, and time management. The writing component includes writing to answer academic questions, essay development, organization, and revision; math focuses on reinforcing core concepts addition through fractions, and closing gaps. Students are encouraged to take the Rapid Reset class prior to starting coursework.
High School
Homeschool or Accredited Diploma
Whether students need a few targeted courses or a full pathway to graduation, our diploma program offers flexible homeschool and accredited options. Coursework includes a blend of online and teacher-curated activities, assignments, projects, and tests. Accommodations and modifications are offered as needed based on the student's unique learning profile.
Students work closely with an advisor to identify the courses needed to earn their choice of a standard, college-ready, or dual-credit diploma based on their post-secondary goals.

Dual Credit
Work smarter, not harder!
Our Dual Credit option allows students to complete required high school coursework while earning ACE-recommended college credits that align with many colleges’ general education requirements. Dual credit assignments and exams are graded by our online curriculum provider, while our teachers guide pacing, support students with written assignments, and help them prepare for tests and exams.

The courses generally recommended for dual credit include 11th and 12th grade courses such as US History, World History, Upper Level Math (College Algebra, Statistics, Pre/Calculus), Fine Arts, Humanities, CTAE, and electives.​
​
It is important to remember that transferability of dual credits is dependent on each institution's transfer policy. Our online curriculum provider offers courses that are ACE- and NCCRS-recommended, meaning they're accepted for credit at over 2,000 colleges nationwide and guaranteed to transfer to a wide selection of notable online universities such as Purdue Global, University of Phoenix, Liberty University, and many more.

College Launch
Earn Your Online Degree with Confidence!
Our College Launch program helps students earn an associate’s or bachelor’s degree with confidence. We guide students in choosing a program from one of our preferred online universities and assist in creating a personalized plan that takes them from start to finish!
To maximize cost and time, students earn ACE-recommended credits from our online curriculum provider that fulfill core and elective requirements OR they can apply directly to the university, transfer in applicable credits, then continue online coursework to finish their degree independently.

For those who prefer a guided experience, students can continue with our Ascent program to receive support throughout their college journey, including structured study time, academic coaching, essay feedback, and ongoing guidance to help them thrive academically and navigate the college experience successfully.

Curriculum
Earn Your Degree with Confidence!
We use a highly reputable online curriculum provider that offers hundreds of courses that range from the fundamentals of reading and math to upper level college courses, which offers a fully curated experience for each learner. Students work with their advisor to select courses based on their personal academic level, interests, and graduation requirements. All courses include a blend of online learning with built-in comprehension assessments and tests, paired with hands-on assignments and projects. Courses are self-paced so students can move through the content as quickly as they would like!

High School Curriculum
Our high school curriculum is a blend of online learning with built-in quizzes and tests and teacher-curated assignments, projects, and capstones. Course grades are based on both the online and hands-on components. Specific high school courses will be recommended based on each student's selected diploma option.

College-Level Courses
​
College-level courses can be taken as honors classes for high school credit or they may be taken as ACE-recommended credit options. Both of these credit options include a blend of online learning and hands-on assignments and projects.
Courses taken for high school credit are graded and assessed by Weatherstone teachers and offer the option for differentiated assignments and assessments. ACE Credits are graded and assessed by our online curriculum provider and cannot be modified, though our teachers will support students with assignments and help them prepare for the open books tests.

Diploma Options
Finish High School with Confidence!
Families can select a homeschool (parent-issued) or accredited (school issued) diploma option. Accredited diplomas are validated by our partner school and require a portfolio that we can assemble with your student.​
Standard Diploma
Georgia Graduation Requirements
Our standard diploma is aligned to Georgia's public school graduation requirements and is designed for students planning to enter the workforce or enroll in a trade school following graduation. A modified diploma is also available to those needing an alternative course load across all subjects due to learning disabilities.
College-Ready Diploma
Required High School Curriculum
Our College-Ready Diploma is designed for students planning to attend college and/or university. following graduation and is aligned to Georgia's Required High School Curriculum.
Dual Credit Diploma
Earn ACE Credits While in HS!
Work smarter, not harder! Our Dual Credit Diploma allows students to take courses that satisfy both high school course requirements while earning ACE credits through our online provider. ACE credits are accepted by many colleges and universities.
